Climbing Plants (Flowers)

Sue, thank you. I have been looking up info about runner beans tonight. One of the names for them is Multiflora bean.

Runner beans, one of them is up to 4 feet 6 inches.

Last night I found these on line also.

Then when I got my seeds from someone two of them were black and looked like the ones in this pictuer.
I know which ones they were and am looking forward to see if they put out pink blooms.

I was out shopping and bought Black-Eyed Susan Vine seeds on a whim. Anyone grew these before? I am thinking hanging baskets off of my porch.

Those are nice Kelly. We have a wild one here that is Passiflora incarnata. The fruit are edible, called maypops. I like the symbolism of Passionflower.

I have never seen them as a vining plant. The ones everyone around my neck of the woods call these http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...BokYGJObWoKa2k= Black-eyed Susans. They come up as wildflowers.

They are two totally different plants.
Sort of like the mountain laurel and Texas mountain laurel.
Or the tulip tree and tulip.

Luigiwu, I have not bought one yet. I showed my wife pictures of them yesterday, and she is interested. I think it is a root in a bag - definitely not a plant.

Robert, my Clematis came from a bag at Wal-Mart. I didn't expect too much but it has thrived since planting.

The pictures of mountain laurel look like wisteria. But I Googled and it's a different plant.

My wife just called during her break, she looked at the clematis's and said that she's bringing home a blue one. I don't which variety yet.

And some Christmas ferns for the shade bed to go with the cinnamon ferns we bought the other day.

I planted two passionflower vines and they're doing extremely well! The leaves are still green, I guess this last winter wasn't cold enough to kill it

I tried them once and the darn butterfly caterpillars ate them to the ground.

I guess I got lucky! I also planted some milkweed in the front, maybe that will be a peace offering this year for the caterpillars.
