Good idea - I have a few dwarves I will plant anyway - Ititarod Red and and Lime Green Salad. Good way to experiment with both dwarves and the Earth Box.

Agreed. I love the video.
But more than that I was fascinated by the grace and economy of movement the old man has when working with the soil and plants. That man knows what he is doing and has done it countless times.

Scott, I plant only 1 indeterminate in the Earthbox and 2 determinates in it. The indeterminate will grow wildly and take the whole box over.
Planting 2 dwarfs will be perfect for the Earthbox and will allow plenty of airspace around them. I think you will enjoy growing in the Earthbox and make sure to use only Dolomite Lime in the Earthbox, not regular garden lime. I buy pellitezed Dolomite Lime in the 40lb bag at Tractor Supply for around $4.00. Your boxes will come with two bags of dolomite lime, one for initial treatment and one for followup.

My Earthboxes came today so I will need to get them prepped for spring planting. I am so excited to add them to the garden.
