The Texas A/M Site has all of the information you will need I live in Central Texas and Anna is the only Apple that will do sort of ok down here. I me thinks Dorsett Gold will do as a pollinator for it.
I just looked and it looks like you live in the narrow area of Zone 1,2 and 3 I would probably go with the lower chill hours just to have a better chance of fruit production.
Bare in mind if you get too low of a chill hour variety you will get premature blooming then a frost/freeze will come and kill all of the blooms thusly no young fruit. If you get too long of a chill variety and you get a mild winter you get no blooms.
Where you live you should if you can get some of both thus insuring at least some trees will have fruit. I am going through this with decision peach trees right now.

Then when you do get fruit you have to suck it up and thin the fruit so the branches dont break and the fruit gets to a good size.

I was raised on an orchard my father grafted and budded trees and I have to tell you fruit trees are a lot of but not hard work that can be one of the most rewarding things you will ever do.

So true, Go to UT for the social issues and go to A/M for agriculture.

yep I'm going to try both we had a couple of Red Macinstosh trees years ago in WNC.
