Default TY to Ray - rnewste

Just a big thank you for all the info on Sweet Success cucumbers. I was reluctant to spend so much $$ for them, but knew they'd be wonderful. I bought 2 pkgs. w/18 seeds in each, and out of the 36 planted, 20 plants germinated.

They're just now fruiting and taste wonderful. I had the first cuke picked for lunch today, and have a dozen waiting their turn for another meal. Predictions are that I won't be able to keep up with production but . . Pickle time will come soon enough.

Thanks for the recommendation. So far I'm very pleased with these cucumbers since Mother Nature forced a very late planting date.

I'm hoping to keep one cuke for seeds. We'll see if the field mice allow this!

Glad to hear you are happy with this variety. Jung Seed has the best price of about $21.00 for 100 seeds:

Thanks for the link. Much easier to order the larger amount than save cukes.

My flowers look lighter than yellow - maybe a pale, pale yellow.

These are Hybrid cukes, so saving seeds is a crap-shoot.

The flowers turn from yellow to white as the cukes develop.

Very true, but I always like to experiment. It may only be a one-time thing, but I just 'have' to try.

Nice to know that, though I've only seen the pale yellow ones.
