Mantis, it's a nice sweet pepper. The plant is compact and bears prolifically.

Spatz,

You got Dwarf Orange Manzano? To date, every golf-ball sized fruit has been infected by fruitfly. gosh darnoodley maggots. What I have tasted is very good.

Should do well down there. Got seeds if you like.

Dwarf Orange Manzano? No, I don't have seeds. How hot is the fruit? Is it a 'must-grow' chilli?

Sounds as if it would be a good one for stuffing with cheese.

I can't imagine fighting fruit flies, they sound utterly gross. Yuk. Gimme the odd rabbit, our sheep, birds, etc. any time. Do you have any fruit fly traps at your place?

Yes, a must grow. You will love this one. I can just tell...

I was very vigilant with the fruitfly traps and not one to be seend until babay was born and then, well, the regime went out the window. Lol.

Up until then, not a one So it is possible to grow organically here and not have even one fruitfly.

All of the following in my late pepper sowing are setting fruit or, in the worst case scenario, have emerging flowers... no frosts here and still six weeks of mild weather at least. I'm very hopeful...

1. Tam Jalapeno
2. Sonora
3. Garden Salsa Hybrid
4. Mariachi
5. Habanero Congo Black
6. Kung Pao
7. Mulato Isleno Chile Pepper
8. Cherrapeno (C.annum)
9. Ring of Fire
10. Aji Cachucha (C. chinense)
11. Aji Dulce (C. chinense)
12. De Arbol
13. Hot Portugal (C.annum)
14. Madame Jeanette (C. chinense)
15. Amazon Chile Roma
16. Marconi Red
17. Lipstick
18. Jimmy Nardello

My capsicums are doing really well this year. The first year that I've got such rippers of capsciums.

This is Corno di Torro Rosso. Ripening up nicely. I would have to measure it, but my guess is that it's at least 20cm long.

Spatz-did I send that to you? Was the seed from Seeds from Italy? The reason I ask, is that I know I sent some down under, from seed I got from Seeds from Italy. I am growing for the first time this variety and am looking forward to it. How did it taste?

Michael, they are not seeds you sent downunder. I got them from a friend of mine round the corner. I don't know where he got them from - probably from the shop round the corner. It might have actually been an Italian packet.

Haven't tasted them yet - but will do so shortly. Will report back, once I've had a bite.

Michael, it's delicious! It was sweet and just really nice. But I may be biased as this was the first off the plant. I can only recommend it.

Tom, it'll be great to see your seedlings' progress!

My season is slowly coming to an end. Only a few more tomatoes to harvest. The chillies are still going strong:

Fantastic haul, Mantis!

I haven't ground mine yet. Can't wait to taste it.

Meanwhile, I pickled the last haul together with gherkins.
