I tried to grow sweet potatoes one year, the deer ate them as fast as they could grow.
It also appears the deer have taken a hankering to one of my grape vines.
Last night one stripped the leaves off of them.

The muscadine grapevines are one thing (besides cuke and squash leaves) that the deer have never messed with, maybe because there are plenty growing wild back in the woods and they don't need mine.

I was noticing yesterday that the vines are absolutely loaded with buds this year. Then I happened to notice that the ones along the woods edge are too. I've never seen those so loaded.

Default Deer Fence

Here are some photos of our deer fence. It is actually two fences about 3 feet apart. Two wires on the inside fence and one wire on the outside fence. The fences are electrified and they are only about 5 feet tall.
Deer have very poor depth perception and will not jump anything, if they are unsure where they will land. We have been using this for about 15 years now. No more problems with deer eating the garden.
