Worth, that works if you KNOW it's the dog.
My dog does a very good job of keeping raccoons and foxes out of our back yard. The last few years, I've noticed big bites taken out of green tomatoes at about knee level. Cant' prove it's my German Shepherd but I suspected it was. Hot pepper spray has always done the trick for me. Whomever was chomping, it stopped with that. IMO, mockingbirds are much harder to fend off than dogs.

You guys are a hoot.
Yeah, shelley, pepper spray doesn't work on birds. They have no sensitivity to capsaicin. But I'd render some toms to the little mockingbandits anyway, just so long as they sing for me. or to the grackles just so long as they don't.

I thought this thread was going to be about what great companions dogs are.

Yes, they're fine. They are brother and sister. My two daughters dogs had pups, and I ended up with those two. I call them the Granddogs.
Dad is full blooded Malti-poo, and Mom is 1/2 Chihuhua and half Pomeranian. |

I used my extra cages to make fences around my beds. Dogs are great companions, but can sure try your patience.
Worth, I have no issue using corporal punishment on dogs. Usually works good, but you have to know which ones sit works on. Our fox terrier I just have to scold. |

Meet the hole digging-est dog of all time. He can hide in this hole, and yet, this wire keeps him out of the flower beds.

Nice pup!
I am having to break mine from playing chase through my 32 Jalepeno plants. Before long, the plants will be tall enough to be more of an obstacle. |

Fence, chicken wire and gate to keep the monster out. The netting is to keep the birds out.

I make sure to grow enough my boy pup can eat all he wants. He loves veggies. He will eat corn over most foods. He helped me plant today and is recovering..
