We are currently today finishing up the rafters on it they are all floor trusses for rafters and 2x8 and 2x10 so i have 17 different wall hights on the out side walls and for your information it's all white boys here it's all family members son-in-law brother-in-law just old-school framers.i do sub some houses out to some mexicans but they are real good framers and friends

The second picture is one of 7 fireplaces that's going in here it's three sided so you can see into the fireplace on all three sides.

Wow! That's a big one!
We need it to quit raining around here, rained out today and probably tomorrow. We set some 16' tall walls Monday, this house has more angles than a geometry book.

It was a trick question.

There are 360 degrees on the circle but almost uncountable angles from a circle.
Measurable for me is degrees minutes and seconds with a dial indicator.
If you were to put on atom in the middle of a circle and then place atoms in a circle out one inch from the center and get those angles it would be unbelievable how many angles there would be.
Then if you continued two of those lines on both sides of two atoms across the universe they would be many light years apart.
Hard to wrap the mind around.

Another way to look at it is shooting.
A minute of an angle in shooting is one inch at 100 yards.
At 1000 yards it is 10 inches at a mile it is 17.60 inches.

To bring it back on subject of the thread, in building mistakes add up big time.

The other one that is on subject is the other day I found a brand new Fat Max Stanly 16 foot tape measuer above the ceiling in an area no one has worked in months.

One last thing everyone I work around calls a ceiling joist a rafter.

Mathematically, there are infinite angles in a circle because there are infinite points around the circumference. Practically, we can't measure them all...

Rafters are the bits that form the (pitched) roof, and joists the bits that run between the outer plates and form the (flat) inner ceiling. Right? Yah, I'd say that's an important difference.

In a circle there is no angle.
In order to have an angle you have to have 2 line to meet/cross each other. In a circle there is none.But once you start drawing lines (radii ) you can have "n" angles, fo"n" greater than one.

More rain and bad weather, getting to work about 3 days a week

I was sheeting the south side/ walk out basement this week 35' up in 40mph wind gusts... Not fun.

The guys who framed our house did a great job from what I can tell. I know just a little about construction a have noticed that they didn't take the common short cuts like a lot do around here. One king stud is 9 full 2 x 4s wide. It was nice to see they didn't use scrap in between. Btw it was 5 guys 2 older white guys with scraggly beards and 2 Mexicans. The 5th guy I didn't see only the 5 vehicles. It has a full roof now. It was a Mexican guy who did it all by himself in about 4days. I bet he work 13-14 hour each of them too. Busted his a$$ at least.
