Good to know on both points. My oldest is the same way with the sun and he's 30 now, lol.

Om gosh your helpers are too cute. I miss having little ones around. I bet they will be lifelong gardeners, and so will their kids.

I'm about to plant out some of your crosses from the MMMM swap. Can you or other growers give me any info on relative size or anything on color or taste of :

HB x A 3X-F3-1

HB x A 3x-F2 * 1 of 2 seedlings is much smaller

PPX MC 9x-F2

Excited to see my results.
Thanks! - Lisa

How are those Bubble Berries working out?

I can't find them anywhere online. I guess the garden centers around town sold out of strawberries quick like this year because I've been haunting them for the past 2 months and haven't seen a single variety sold, except some Quinaults in a hanging basket at Walmart that looked positively piddly.

Your garden is gorgeous, anyway. It makes me envious. This year, I decided to garden at my mother's and it's been a monster and a half to deal with; Japanese knotwood and violets are swarming and infecting everything, insidious crap heads.

Im telling you Charley its the only way i want to grow for now on. No weeds, less bugs, and a more consistent way to water.

The Bumble Berries turned out good. They had a bubble gum taste but were a bit on the sour side. The downside was that like many other interesting flavored strawberries they had no shelf life. We had to eat them right off the plant which was not exactly a bad thing.

They were really good but the 2 plants i had did not taste like Sungold. The size and shape were the same but the color was a touch browny orange.

The first two pictures are of Enjoya Bell peppers. I have never had any luck growing bell peppers but this variety is prolific and the bells are good sized. Even if they turn out yellow instead of striped i am growing these again. The third picture is an Oda pepper.
