Default eggplant variety decisions

I have 2-4 of the following varieties that I have not planted yet, but room for about a dozen plants. If you've grown one of these, would you recommend more than one plant of any of these varieties?

Aragon F1
Diamond
Gandia
Green Dragon
Madonna F1
Matrouk
Xi'an Green

(I've already planted 8 other varieties, so perhaps the question is moot. What am I going to do with all the eggplants if they are all productive??!!)

The other option is to plant them close together, as one person at my community garden does, so that the fruit is shaded better. He also plants peppers this way. I tried it one year and didn't get great results. I think I'd rather give some plants away than plant all of them, anyway!

I've grown Diamond before and am growing it again. I found it tasty and productive.

BTW they dehydrate beautifully and I use them in stews over the winter.
