Carbon Leaf Type?
I grew a carbon last year and it had loads of fruit, but I thought they tasted a little bland. However, a friend of my that I gave some seedlings to, said it was his favorite tomato and all the people he gave tomatoes to from the carbon plants, say they loved them and wanted some more. Go figure.
At any rate, I've got some volunteers coming up and I can't remember what type of leaf the carbon is suppose to have. Need some help, please. Gerald |

I found Carbon's flavor intensity to go up and down, as it did with many of my varieties. Carbon is probably better than I realize because I was constantly doing side by side comparisons with Black from Tula, Cherokee Purple, and Black Krim last year and it never seemed to taste better than those others. I don't think I ever ate just a single tomato last year, I was always slicing up two on a plate, closing my eyes and seeing if I could tell them apart.
