Default Lost main stem?

Something seems to have chomped or broken off the main stem of my lovely Berkley Tie Die. Chicken, maybe? I'm not sure, but I just noticed that its missing the middle stem, no flowers or anything.
I'm assuming it will grow a sucker and secondary trusses to make up for the loss?
Hopefully before we get blasted with heat. But, maybe not, it's pushing 100 this week.

Yes, it's actually about 18" with plenty of leaves. Just no big branches and no top. No trusses, either.
All of my other plants are flowering with at least one truss from the top right now.

If you don't see signs of a sucker you might prompt one with bit of extra Nitrogen.

Thanks, George! I'll give it some fish emulsion right away!

That's just what I was thinking. You should be fine with that.

I will. Now, if we just stay under 100 for another month. It's supposed to be 103 this weekend.
