Thanks for sharing. Those are some good looking tomatoes! Out of all of them, what variety was your favorite?

Thanks Farmette and TightenUp. Hmm hard to say really which was my favorite. Depends on what I used them for...for taste and fresh eating, Pruden's Purple, Black Krim, and New Big Dwarf (But probably Pruden's Purple overall). For roasting, San Marzano Redorta and Zapotec Pink Ribbed (the Zapotecs were really good for a roasted stuffed tomato). For Sauces all of them really, but I remember using the Costoluto Genovese alot for sauces that year as I really didn't enjoy them much for fresh eating, but it is a beautiful tomato to look at with all that ribbing. ~Alfredo

Those are lovely photos Alfredo! I too love ribbed tomatoes, they are so beautiful to look at, and look wonderful sliced on a plate.

I've been playing around with moving my raised beds a bit and adding another so I can grow more plants, I only hope I get it all done before time to plant comes.

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

Thanks lakelady.

Yeah the ribbed tomatoes are beauties...and as you already noted, they're just as decorative sliced up with their ribbed shape. Adds a different decorative touch to the salads.

You definitely still have time to work on moving/adding the raised beds before it warms up here in Northern NJ. Which tomatoes have grown well for you here? Any favorites?

I am going insane waiting for the season to start, now I'm also insanely hungry.

Why did I think looking at garden pics was a good idea?

Great pics by the way.

I'm in zone 6A, my last frost date is around April 30 (my birthday!) but it's tradition in my family to plant out around Mother's Day.

Oh?! That's the same tradition we have in my family as well! We've always planted after Mother's day.
