They can send me all the catalogs they want, but my shopping is done! I'm still holding some spots open in the tomato patch until I get the Mater Mailing package, but thanks to Knapp's for some tomato seeds, and Pinetree and Johnny's for a few other veggies and herbs, my seed budget has been spent. Now I just need to try and ignore any seed offers posted here....

I got Fedco a few days ago! I enjoy reading the blurbs and commentary, and I always find new-to-me varieties I can't resist. My strategy is to pick 2 seed companies each year (one of which is usually Sandhill, Sample Seed Shop, or Fedco -- a different one each year) to limit the number of seeds I buy.

Okay, I lied. I placed an order this morning. It all started when I discovered that I needed fresh spinach seed for this year. Since the Territorial Seeds catalog was still sitting on the kitchen table, I started there...

With a quick email exchange I learned that they will accept orders now for garlic and shallots, even though they won't be ready to ship until fall. However, they will only charge you for shipping once and send your other seeds right away. So spinach seeds are on the way, and sometime in the fall, without me having to remember to order before they sell out, French Shallots and Chinese Pink Garlic will appear in my mailbox! I did resist the temptation to add a Negronne Fig Tree to the order. I'm going to see if dad will part with cuttings from his trees first.
