Huurrrry it up! I am trying to live vicariously through ya'lls work and just dying to see what you get at this point!
I have to live vicariously since my poor plants are doing nothing but plotting on how to get themselves shipped to Canada or Alaska! I already reported them to Homeland Security as a flight risk, so they will get no where. |

Patience... it's July in Canada just really getting going up here. And it's easy to get out for your plants but might be hard to get back in...
These are ripening now, this photo from last week. One of the purples eaten ripe yesterday ( ate it before photos and it was awesome ) so about 65 days from plant out May 20 KarenO Last edited by KarenO; July 25, 2017 at 05:19 PM. |

Segregating Karma purple from the multiflora purple Marsha selected. Earliest ripe. Big potato leaf indeterminate plant
Large cherries in straight trusses , (still technically a cherry even though they are large because there are 2 locules . Clear epidermis, dark pink -purple skin when fully ripe but still retain green gel so it's a black. Thin skin, meaty thick pericarp Tangy sweet Fantastic flavour. Marsha, holy moly...seeds saved. See Karen, I told you the flavor was to die for! These knock the socks off of Black Cherry. The flavor was beyond amazing, plus it's a PL multiflora. Nice work if you can get it, lol!

How about a cross of this PL Karma purple multiflora cherry with Rebel Alliance? To get the PL, with the many hundreds MF truss, since both are dark, and wonderful flavor.

There is also a multiflora that looks just like the F3 you grew last winter coming. None ripe yet. For myself I would prefer to wait to cross any if these until stable. Such a crap shoot otherwise, but it would be a cool idea for sure Such endless possibilities! A lifetime of work can come from one wide cross like this.
