Hello Karen!
From my short experience, since it is my second year growing tomato storage, I have to say that last year lasted some of the varieties about 10 months in perfect condition, fresh and with juice.
It depends on the variety, on choosing the ripening point and the irrigation water that has been supplied.
Last year I did experiments, I tried tomatoes hanging outside in the shade and at temperatures below 4 degrees below zero and inside the house, and incredibly those from the outside lasted me the same time as those I had hanging inside the house. living place. In Spain they are used to spread the bread along with extra virgin olive oil and a dollop of salt and is very typical in the area of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, there are true ramallet tomato artisans. Say also that as time passes the tomato loses qualities and freshness so I think the hanging tomato is in its optimal conditions when they spend about 3 or 4 months.
