Thanksgiving is an American National holiday, not a religious one, as MissS said. No different than wishing someone a Happy 4th of July. I can't imagine anyone taking offense, even if they don't choose to celebrate in the traditional way.

In our home and our children's homes, we celebrate thanksgiving as more than just another holiday. It does have meaning beyond the season, and family; and turkey and I try to be sensitive to other peoples beliefs and customs. I don't want to impose my beliefs on other peoples beliefs or customs.

Stopped off in Taylor Texas on the way home to get some groceries.
They had five pound bags of cornmeal for 2.44 a bag.
Seems as though the one in Bastrop now only sells the wee bags.
Replaced by mixes.
All about sales and demographics.

And to you the same! My holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter; and of course July 4. Speaking as a veteran, I don't revere veterans day. More power to those who do. I do revere veterans who sacrificed and families who sacrificed.

The reason I mentioned the cornmeal is a small bag costs almost as much as a big bag.
It was like over night I went into the store and all the big bags were gone.
In replacement was all these foo foo mixes that cost a fortune.

I remember a day not to long ago you could get huge bags of cornmeal.

Thank you, Don, sorry I missed your remark until now. I hope you, and everyone else, had a good holiday too.

Default Tip of the week.

Hot plate keeps food warm.
Cold plate makes food cold.
