I think you’re good but if you don't mind I'll pray along with you for a couple of weeks.

Nice work, Charley. Wishing you a big success.
Here in Southeast NC, we are going to have some nasty weather with lows dipping all the way to 25F. That is per forecast. It might actually go down 4 to 6 degrees lower.
But the good news is that past March 18th the lows should get into 42F to 55F range and highs in 62 to 75 range. I can live and deal with that.
But for the next 5 nights I will have to cover my tomatoes overnight.

Well I hope it all turns out well for you gardeneer. But I'm sure you have a handle on the situation. Best of luck to you as well. Be sure to post some pictures. It's always interesting to see how other people protect their plants

Thanks Charley
I think I have mentioned that I have only planted out limited quantity, 12 to be exact.
Four (4) of them are together and protected with buckets.

Eight (8)of them are together and protected differently as I did not have anymore buckets.

The first picture shows the plants not yet covered.
In the second picture they are covered w/ 3 layers of tarp.
Today they were covered all day. Tomorrow I will remove the cover around the mid day when sun is up and/or when it gets over 50F.
Then cover them again before sundown.
I will continue this drill for 4 more nights and hopefully the danger will be behind us.

Yeah Charley , it did snow yesterday. But temperatures were above 35F or so.
Last night went down to 29 ( per my own weather station )
Today will be cloudy/rainy all day (57/42F). I will let them get some fresh air when the temps are 50F++.
Three more night , and we should put this cold snap behind us, by Friday ie.

With all this work, I extended my season by about 40 days. I wanted to have a long cool season before the high heat and humidity (maybe insects and disease !) strike.

March 20th (spring equinox) I will go full steam ahead .

I think it will be worth all the extra hard work. You'll be the first one to have tomatoes in your area probably. And the Envy of the neighborhood when June comes around people are going to start asking you where do you live what time do you go to work

There is a frost advisory for all of the DFW area 4am through 10am. Delkus on Channel 8 ABC said, don't plant your gardens for a couple more weeks.

Down there, click Go Advanced.

Then you can change your font size . This is 5.

The tab says, Sizes.

Weather underground says tomorrow mornings low here will be 42 but accu-weather says 37, either way too cold for comfort.

Look in the upper left corner in advanced mode.
You can swipe across the letters you want to change like you were going to copy and paste and select color style and size.
Or you can move your text to the middle like I just did with the boxes below them.

Worth.
