We make lots of jams with hot peppers, mostly red bhuts. My first was strawberry jalapeno bhut, which is now a staple here.
Experiment with other fruits, using Ball's recipes. You can't go wrong! |

The heat in the strawberry-ghost jam will be quite sharp when it is fresh. It settles down in a month or so and becomes a wonderful background glow. I need to make more; I'm almost out. No red bhuts yet, but I've frozen some white bhuts and Jay's Peach that will do nicely. |

Ok pmcgrady - I found something you can do with your 9 Carolina Reaper plants:
From Business Insider: Apr. 27, 2016, 4:02 PM Wayne Algenio, 31, of Queens, New York, ate 119 grams of Carolina Reaper Peppers to claim a world record. The evil little peppers are hotter than pepper spray, according to their creator, Smokin' Ed Currie. The contest was part of the NYC Hot Sauce Expo. |
