The above one is also in my tomato book.

But I find the two have very different tastes and Anna Russian also has that wispy droopy foliage,so it looks awful at first, but when it grows up it starts behaving like a good girl should. All to say I prefer Anna Russian over Anna Maria.

I've also grown Elgin Pink and another Elgin one ,can't remember the name right now.

Thanks for the input Carolyn, indeed, those two Annas are very different tomatoes

Gerardo, no yellow tomatoes? This is some terrific bounty. Congrats.
Which are winners for you and must return?

What a wonderful harvest that you have. Those peppers are amazing too. It looks like you have some cooking to do...

Only one yellow tomato plant for the hot summer, although I do have about 8 Chef's Choice Orange at the 3rd cluster stage for the fall races, they taste good to me.

I've no doubt you'll have the same type of problem in 100 days or thereabouts. Happy to hear the 2nd half of your season is up and running. Go for some of these superhots, they really are flavorful.

I've been cooking a ton, lots of Italian themed sauce frozen. Lots of straight no chaser tomato sauce too. And one more batch of Belcebu hot sauce is on the way.

Oh and the winners, many should return, however, I will dedicate practically my whole garden to growing out this Elgin P x Anna Maria's Heart F2s.

Andrey's Siberian stable is formidable, especially "Tolstyi (Fat) Jack" "Tuzemets" "Vasilina" "Kolkhosnitsa" and a few others I can't remember right now, as my notes are eluding me. They are tasty, hearty, compact (not all), and quite productive. Winners overall.

And I almost forgot, ZARCA has been a real trooper, others have suffered BER and I would classify Zarca as BER-immune-proof-shielded-protected-resistant. It is a serious tomato machine, mostly golf ball sized and sometimes tennis balled sized. I like them. Versatile. More and more I keep leaning towards smaller tomatoes.

Next post w pic of almost exclusively Siberian tomatoes. Many thanks Andrey.

Default Siberian tomatoes for the most part

Guess which one is Fat Jack.

That round pinkish (it's actually more red, photo artifact) one right in the middle of the pic, without a pedicel is a Zarca.

Ask Andrey if you don't know, but is Tolstyi (fat Jack) in any way related to Toltuska (fatty woman Unamed, let's call her Jill.

If so it seems to me that Jack and Jill should go up the hill, well, I won't post that whole nursery rhyme.

Carolyn, who has met Jill and she's great , but has never met Jack.

Default Every now and then, a surprise

this a great one, Tolstyi "Fat" Jack. Evokes the smooth and generous flavour present In Crnkovic Y's and other top shelf tomatoes.

Easily qualifies for the"my precious" list"

High recommend

Large plant, large viking boats, full of juice and happiness.

Kid tested, father approved.

Default Belcebú 3.0

The third incarnation is powerful.

Finally at the level I had envisioned.

All of these into 1 standard blender volume. Packs a serious punch.

All good stuff to make my mouth water! But I really enjoyed the picture of your little artist chowing down on his tomato!

Gerardo, I'm assuming that "Tolstyi (fat) Jack" is what Tatiana lists as Tolstyi Dzhek. It looks pink in your photos, while Tatiana lists it as dark red. Tatiana lists it as "det. compact" while you describe it as a large plant. Any idea why the discrepancy?

Agreed.

"Cute Kid Decimates Giant Tomato" is a most worthy and welcome headline.
