Default Pepper Project: Front Bed Display

Hi,

I thought I would start a thread about one of my pepper or chilli projects.

I'm hoping for a great display in this front flowerbed, where there are a few roses.

Using a mix of pepper varieties including Variegata...

... and Peruvian Purple

As well as some others from Fatali to Safi, two C.Pubescens, Anaheim and more.

I will update this thread and report back on the progress of my project. I'm imaginging and hoping it'll look pretty good in months to come. So do check back sometime.

Best, Grub

I like your idea! I usually grow some short ornamental hot type peppers along the front edge of my first row of tomato beds. Unfortunately, the tomatoes end up shading and overgrowing most of them by the end of the season. I should put some of my extra peppers into the flower gardens.

What is that pretty purple vining thing you have in the left corner?

Dee,

The purple ting is Bouganvillea, a tropical and sub-tropical vine with spikes that grows to 40ft if you let it. Lol. I try my best to keep it in check. Very bright flowers, which were at the end of their effective life here.

If this Hot Pepper bed isn't so great I will put eggplants there next year. They look quite nice in the pots at the moment, I think.
