Default Number of pepper plants I can put in a container

I am making two 18 gallon earthtainers. They are Rubbermaid containers. Can I put 4 pepper plants in each one or just 2? They are Lipstick and Carmen peppers. Thanks.

I agree. I planted 2 peppers per 7 gal container this season and, even for the largest, that was more than enough room.
