Mine were from a trade from someone who got the seeds from PaddyMC. Mine seem to be stable, and I think almost everyone here got their seeds from me.

Marsha, that is a beautifully loaded down plant. Happy to hear that you too deemed it delicious, can't wait to taste it for myself!
Thought I would begin planting out tomorrow, but now the forecast is predicting night temps in the mid 30's for Thurs. and Fri. This is driving me nuts! |

And you have the red ones?
I think Charline grows the yellow bicolor (the original). Seems like the lack of complaints about fruit softness may be due to the fact that the red variety represents a cross or variant, and it is not as bad as the bicolor version. |

Lithium Sunset is one tomato that I'm still searching for... all attempts to acquire it have been fruitless (pun not intended, but definitely appreciated!).
In the future, I hope that it is more widely available. |

Fred, I am assuming these are red, they came from the swap. I will be sure to revisit this thread and post pics here of progress.

So even better. That cross Must have been a while ago. These are stable. Should we call it red lithium?

Is it possible that, being a bi-color, that there is a natural variance in the amount of red/yellow?
I have scoured the internet for Lithium Sunset pictures and, typically, they are much less red than the picture of the previous page. But I have come across a couple of pictures of its fruit that seem to approach that level of 'redness'. EDIT: Here is a picture of Charline's Lithium Sunset in 2015 that shows a 90% yellow dominate, another with about 60% yellow, and a final one with about 65% red. I am going to name it Red Lithium. It looks exactly like Charline's, so I hope renaming is the right thing to do, but I trust Fred. I wish Charlene's photo showed a cut fruit, then we might be able to see the bi color.

I completely disagree.
Yours are solid pink inside. Hers are yellow with pink marbling inside. |

Yes, Fred, I didn't see the inside. I meant the outside of mine look same as the top 2 in the Charline photo. I was not trying to say they actually were the same, very sorry.
