I will start seeds for the following varieties. Not sure how many I will be able to fit at my place, but the overflow will go to my mothers place in sandiego. Also, Have quite a few greenies still hanging, and hope they would ripen so I could pull the plants. Lots of disease here this fall/winter, so hopefully I can let the yard be free of maters for a month.

OP cultivars:

Kosovo
NAR
Brandy Wine Sudduth (Carolyn Male)
Lillian's Yellow Heirloom
Spudakee
Black and Brown Boar
Beauty King
Pink Berkely Tie Die
(maybe a few more)

Hybridssome of which are contingent apon succesfully harvesting maters that are still hanging)

Spudakee X Brandy Wine Sudduth (F1)
Sungold X Cherokee Purple (F2)
Dwarf Wild Fred (F5)
Dwarf Wild Fred F4 X Brandy wine Sudduth (F1)
Dwarf Wild Fred F3 X Purple Haze F1 (F2)
Brad's Black Heart X Dwarf Wild Fred F4 (F1)
Spudakee X Dwarf Wild Fred F4 (F1)

Since Both are potato leaf indeterminant I will have to wait and see if the fruit turns out pink to see if it worked.

I might plant a few more reds/pinks this weekend.
Along with Yellow Submarine

My list looks a little glum compared to some I have seen but with any luck any at all I will get tomatoes.
Also if you will notice I have planted totally different varieties next to each other so if one jumps the fence I can tell what it is later on.

Out of all of the many seeds I had to pick from I chose these because I like to eat tomatoes in salads.
I just put on a little Extra Virgin Olive oil with some fancy olives Fresh black pepper, Onion, Garlic, Fresh peppers a GOOD bottle of balsamic vinegar and that's about it.

With some good cheese Ciabatta (SP) bread and a good bottle of Australian wine and I'm fit to be tied.
((The big ones are for BLTs and burgers.)

You don't list a heart shaped variety with the reds so if it were me I'd chose either GRS or Wes.

Russian Bogatryr is a beefsteak and you already have a couple of those listed and Druzba is darn good, but... and Berwick German which I intrduced in the 1994 SSE Yearbook is more of a paste variety, I'd still go with either Wes or GRS.

I forgot to mention Anna Russian with the pinks.

Carolyn, you must be reading my mind, as GRS is about 95 percent on the list. I have heard nothing but good about it, and want to give it a try. Of course I would grow the others if time, space will allow.

Know what you mean. Here is my revised and hopefully final rendition of this year's list. Almost forgot the yellows

11 Bush Big Boy
3 First Prize
2 Beauty
2 Lemon Boy
2 Dakota Gold
2 Basinga
2 Yoder's German Yellow
2 Earl of Edgecombe

IN BAGS
2 Black Cherry
Yellow Cherry
Red Star
Green Grape
Sun Sugar Hybrid
Sweet Quartz

ON LATTICE
2 Sweet Baby Girl

IN CAGE
Red Pear

I am cutting back in 2009, from 64 plants in the main garden to 26 plants. My work schedule has changed and it is way to hard to tend to so many plants. I will also have 10 in the yard (all cherry types)

I got 16 varieties on my to grow list, but only enough sunny space to plant 10-12 of them and I still have not decided on a early variety yet.

I tried Stupica last year, but it tasted a little bland to me, but so did some others that I grew. I'm thinking that I might have over watered.

I like just a little more acid taste in a tomato than sweet. The Brandywine tasted really good to me, but I wished it had just a tad more acid bite to it. I don't really care that much for the Carbon, but everyone else that I have given them to really likes them alot.

If there are some varieties on my list that you don't think fit my need, PLEASE let me know, since my growing space is so limited.

I ordered these, but have never grown or tasted them:

Box Car Willie
Creole
Sioux
Marianna Peace
Stump of the World
Mortgage Lifter
Cherokee Purple
Super Sioux
Homestead
Beefsteak
TN Britches
Big Beef

These are on my to grow list that I have grown:

Brandywine (pink/tomato leaf)
Carbon

Gerald,
I have tasted Box Car Willie, Marianna's Peace, and Cherokee Purple from your list. If you like a tomato with a bite to it (acid), I think you'll be pleased with those 3 selections.
I grew the M. Peace last year in my garden and it was one of my favs. Big pink maters that covered an entire slice of bread. It's back on my list to grow for this year and will probably stay there.....unless I find something I like better.
