Unfortunately, my neighborhood is comprised of moderately-to-heavily wooded lots of very large, mature trees. On this property, only a tiny patch of the driveway gets any direct sun at all - and that is only about four to four-and-a-half hours a day (in the morning and later afternoon/evening).

So I am limited to containers only (the whole yard, which is fully shaded, is heavy clay) that I have to physically carry into the garage every night or else the ravenous deer will eat them down to tiny stubs.

Because of my severe limitations, I can usually only fit four moderately sized tomato plants, maybe a couple of micro-dwarf plants, and three herb plants (basil, parley, and oregano). This year, I'm pushing things and will try to grow six regular sized tomato plants in containers. I also plan on trying to grow one container with carrots (fingers crossed!). I don't expect things to go well and will likely have to scale back to four for next year.

I'm very interested in the number of plants people grow. But the unexpected human factor of this thread is also quite amusing/interesting.

Never saw the instructions in the original post, until now ... I just followed the previous post. Once something goes beyond the 1st page I start at the last page (maybe because I am left-handed) and if it's interesting enough I may eventually back-read to the beginning. In this case, meh...
