Default I think I beat the borers -- now what?

Through vigilance at the start of June, I *think* that I beat the borers. I picked off a couple of dozen eggs, and now the plants show no signs of any damage. I also did spray once a week after rains with Sevin (being careful to avoid the flowers/bees). The plants are somewhat troubled with mildew, but I'm spraying with copper soap and the plants are producing new, healthy leaves

But now after producing for about a month, my Patio Star plants in 14" pots seem to have stopped producing female flowers. Plenty of males, but no females. I wonder if that is just the normal life cycle for this variety. I probably got a dozen fruit off each of the two plants.

Any thoughts?
