Default Alstroemeria

I love Alstroemerias because they remind me of Florida so much. I've been looking for them for a few years and I finally bought some "bulbs", they are VERY rare in Russia. I shoved the "bulbs" into flower pots about a month ago and they've released a couple of shoots. What do I do with them now? Do Alstroemerias grow only in the southern regions?

This is my first year trying to grow flowers, so I don't know much about flower gardening

Marina,

You can plant them out and they should bloom for you, even in your climate. In the winter you will probably want to dig the "bulbs" and store them in a cool spot indoors. I sent my mother (in Montana) some roots last year and they did great. She mulched them heavily before the ground froze and they survived a Montana winter! Although, they are not supposed to survive in her climate.

Steve, you just made my day! I will find a sunny spot for it. So anxious to grow this beauty.
