Default large pink bulgarian PL ????

one of my large pink bulgarians is potato leaf. does this happen with this variety? i'm growing it for the first time. not a mix up on my end because the other varieties in the cell pack i seeded were all regular leaf.
seeds came from sandhill preservation this year.
could be a stray seed or cross. this is the first time something has come up different for me. i shall grow it out, and see what happens.

Keith, as I mentioned in the post on PL in Mortgage Lifter, no variety should pop out a different leaf shape if it is grown from a stable variety. So you either have a mutation (very rare), a result of a cross, or a stray seed/mix up that got into the packet somehow.

Keith, from the time I introduced this variety I've grown it out many times, have listed it in the SSE YEarbooks and have offered it in various seed offers and have never heard of a PL Large Pink Bulgarian.

Of the seeds that germinated how many were PL and how many were RL?

carolyn,

of 4 seeds planted, 3 were RL, and the one PL.
the only PL variety i planted prior to seeding LBP was matina in a separate 6 pack, so if i had a sticky seed some how, and it turns out to be a small 2-4 oz red tomato, it will be easy to figure out. otherwise who knows....
