Default gene discovered that allows for growth in 24/7 light

I saw this over at phys.org:

"Plants that were grown 24 hours a day achieved a gain in yield of up to 20 percent compared to those grown for 16 hours in greenhouse conditions, the researchers reported in the journal Nature Communications."

So for an extra 50% energy (16 vs 24 hours light) they have figured out how to get an additional 20% yield. Wow!

(Yes, the only way to grow a more expensive tomato is to put it into 24 hour light in space!)
