Default Actinovate + Earthtainers

I am hoping Ray can answer this....

I mixed up some Actinovate (1 teaspoon to 4 gallons of water).

How much should I give each Earthtainer.

Default Maybe You're Diluting It Too Much?

Please read again the application directions on the little folded card that came with your foil packet of Actinovate. In the application directions for both a soil drench and a foliar spray, they say, "Dissolve 1 teaspoon (4-grams) of Actinovate Lawn & Garden per 2 gallons of water to create solution." Not 4 gallons.

Your question is a good one and I'm looking forward to Ray's answer. I just ordered the stuff myself based on Ray's side-by-side photos of plants with and without it and will be applying it for the first time to my EarthTainer grown tomato plants, so how much to add to each EarthTainer, when, how often, whether to apply as a spray or soil drench, I'd like to learn myself.

I found Actinovate at my local nursery this morning and plan to apply the solution to a volunteer I planted recently. I am wondering if it would be a waste of time at this point to soil drench my already established plants.

Yes, 1 tsp for 2 gallons.
Once cup of solution to each plant in Earthainer!

It contains spores of a live organism, so if it can compete
successfully with other live organisms already in the soil or
container mix, it should eventually populate the root zone
regardless of how little or much you use. Using the
recommended amount may thoroughly saturate the root
zone with the live bacteria faster than more dilute solutions.

Once a season should be enough for a soil drench either way.
It is either there to stay or not, and if not adding more will not
help (something else is outcompeting it in the soil). I do not
know whether it dies off on dry foliage and needs to be
repeated when using it for a foliar disease control.

I seem to recall that it needs a minimum soil temperature of
around 47F/7C to thrive (that probably goes for air temperature,
too, when it is applied to foliage).
