So true. We absolutely MUST get out of this drought. Isn't it hard for us to imagine the rain Texas is getting?

That is a good sign for your area.

I got about 2 inches of rain here in around 14 hours or so.
This is much better than the flood parts of Austin and SA got.

This is the hill country too much rain to fast does nothing for us.

If the amphibians are happy, then the rest of us are happy too.

Here is All Hallow's Eve day's haul.

Big kellogg's bfast at the 11 o'clock position, some Jap BT all over the place, SOOs at 3-4, Nicky Crain in the middle and 5, Paul Robeson hiding in the middle, a mistery ribbed piriform that I think is Cour de Beouf at 8 o'clock, a little black krim at 9 that fell on the concrete and cracked, Pierce's Pride at 12:30 and 6:30, and a Cosmonaut Volkov peeking through at 2. And there's a Dester and GJ somewhere under there.

That's a gorgeous picture. I'm seeing sandwiches, on pizza, salted and eaten like an apple...

Gregori's Altai. I'm very happy with this plant. Lots of fruits forming. Healthy. Compact. I've got 4 new seedlings that will grow in dec-jan-feb, as a cold tolerance/fruiting test. I suspect it'll take our mild winter in stride.

Copper River has been doing well also. Excited to bite into one of these in a few weeks.

Last Couilles de Taureau was unhappy in the summer heat. This CDT plant, formed from gel/seed direct sow and keeping the stout one only, has grown nicely and is enjoying the fall. Three fruits that I'll wait patiently for. It is flanked by Alcara Pink, Gregori's Altai, Tondino Maremmano, and Siccagno di Valledolmo. All three Italians have excellent fruit set.
