Nope, it was Sriracha sauce.
It was more time than work blending in all the ingredients at the right time and making sure I didn't burn it.
You could taste everything I put in it too.

Cubed flat end brisket with spices and the chili sauce cooking from the cubed brisket.
Fluid is HEB brand V/8 juice and water.
Cooking down.

Shrinkrap, did you raw pack those after rolling them in sugar or did you cook a syrup for them or ??? Looks pretty.

Wow, I would pay a pretty penny for fresh figs like those around here! You just can't find them. If you find a rare fresh fig in the grocery store, it is past its prime and in poor shape. I am jealous.

I just wanted to say everyone's food looks delicious! I know I've been quiet, lately. My mantra has been this too shall pass.

Monday is the first official day of fall but lots of the grocery stores here are getting on the fall food train early this year...pumpkin, pumpkin spice whatever, apple cider have been on sale in the stores here for a couple of weeks now

If there's a sales rep for southeastern grocery stores that's a lurker here I'm putting in early requests for the holidays...fresh turkeys, boneless(not semi boneless-boneless!)leg of lamb, cranberries are the first items that come to mind....

The watermelons have been replace with pumpkins here at the store front.

Tonight's meal will be around hotlinks.
I have no idea at this time cant make my mind up.
