Here's a sliced fruit and skin peel of a yellow fruited (OSU Blue x Beauty King)F3. The paterrn of accumulation is very obvious with the yellow flesh - anthocyanin appears to be both in the epidermis and just below.

Here are some photos of a fortuitous crossing between a tomato pineapple and a blue tomato OSU.
The taste is divine. Last edited by Ambiorix; August 30, 2011 at 10:37 AM. |

WOW.....Oh Wow! Those look incredibly beautiful. And tasty too.
C'est une incroyable combinaison de traits. Etait-ce une croix accidentelle ou avez-vous travaillé sur elle pendant un certain temps? Thanks for sharing the pics. Merci bien, Ambiorix. Zana |

Sorting through summer photos last night and came across this image of anthocyanin enhancement of fruit stripe in an unripe tomato. It carries on in ripe fruit, but the contrast is less dramatic. This F3 plant traces to a cross between Beauty King and OSU Blue.

Wow! Thats amazing. I hope you saved seeds! It is neat because there are less stripes than, say, Green Zebra has.

hi frogsleap -
I have a little one that is crossed to a black zebra pear, but the stripes are not as vivid and the fruit is much smaller - about an inch. Way to go! Lee |
