Default Anyone heard of Kings Choice?

My mother in law is a master gardener and one of her master gardener friends has been growing this tomato for many years and saving seeds but sowed all his seeds in a bad mixture last year and none germinated and he is tying to locate some seeds. The info I got was it was the name of the tomato is KINGS CHOICE that was developed and sold by Northrup King.

Any help would be appreciated.

I looked thru several of my back SSE Yearbooks before I discovered it's an F1 hybrid from someones trade list online form 2005. So I'm not sure about any saved seeds still being King's Choice.

I suggest that someone contact Northrup King and ask if King's Choice is still in production orf if they have any seeds for it stored away somewhere.

But this variety cannot be perpetuated by saving seeds since it is an F1 hybrid.

I've linked to NK below and I hope this helps/

Thanks Carolyn, I wonder if the person ended up dehybredizing it or if they just ran out of seeds, I had assumed that it was OP from what my mother in-law said I will look into seeing if there are any seeds still available.

My wife called and talked to someone that said production ended in 1995 but I am not sure how much she asked about if they had any old stock. I but out a request in the wanted varities forum at 13 years old there still might be some out there that are viable. I am going to talk to my mother in-law tonight to see if I can get more backround on what he was growing and if he was saving F1 seeds and replanting and getting simmilar fruit.

Default King's Choice Tomato Seed

I just joined and saw your old request from several years ago. I have original seed F1 if you still need it. Feel free to e-mail me at dtrebil992@aol.com if you still need some.
