Default Scored 10 pounds of coffee grounds today

Starbucks was kind enough to save them for me and will do it every day if I pick them up every day. Basically, an unlimited supply. How much coffee ground is too much for the garden? It sure does give the soil a beautiful dark look.

25-35% by volume according to this http://www.sunset.com/garden/earth-f...0400000016986/

I hope that's accurate, I've been stopping by daily for a couple of months since we don't have snow on this year, I've added about 1000 pounds to my new garden plot that had almost no organic matter.

As it gets closer to planting time there is a lot more competition for them.

are you back in the States already? Coffee grounds are a good source of adding nitrogen to the soil. They usually have a pH range of 6.9 -6.2. The closer the grounds are to the soil, the faster they move toward neutral pH (7.0). You would want to know the preferred pH and other soil requirements - how much nitrogen, etc for the plants you are growing. I would check the pH, remediate the soild, and then check again to be sure it is in a good place. OR you could just throw them in there and see how she flies....
