Not bad for Canada! Considering you are a lot closer to the North Pole.

Nice work! Looks like what I found in my dining room a few weeks ago. It's time to move them out to make room for my "real" outdoor tomatoes. It was a fun winter project though. My son liked helping take care of them. What variety is it?

It is one of the Tumbler F3 lines (my dehybridizing project) - the earliest tomato, 89 days from seed to ripe fruit, and 33 days from transplant.

Tania, nice self-developing toms :-)

Let's change an American DTM system to Russian! ;-) Days from germination till first ripe fruits is much more fair to count ;-)

Nice toms for the winter! Here in Montreal we still have over a foot of snow outside with no end in sight...sigh. What kind of light do those get, Tania?

Hey Lakshmi, welcome to T-ville!

I am growing these under fluorescent lights (cool), 16 hrs/day.

I am giving it a working name 'Anmore Dewdrop' - will be tasting and saving seeds from it over the weekend; seriously considering to sow the seeds again next week... Given the time to ripe fruit, I can grow 3 generations per year, which means by the end of 2007 I should be able to stabilize it. 8)

Hi Tania,

I planted 2 Tiny Tims (my first Tomatoes from seed ever) in early Feb. They're under cool whites too but still so tiny that it feels like it'll be summer before they produce anything! I thought you needed a warmer spectrum (reds) for flowering and fruiting and had been thinking of either getting warm whites or plant & aquarium lights when the time came. I've recieved quite a bit of conflicting information on the subject so am glad to see you did so well with just cool whites.

That is a nice looking early tomato you're developing there...good for the winter months and impatient ones like me

Hope it tastes good!

Rena, can we call it a beginning of the tomato season?

We tasted the 6 cherries that I picked yesterday, and they were nice and flavorful, more tart and not sweet. Yummm.
