I looked at it again. More of a small-ish baseball. And a ping pong ball hiding behind it!

To my experience , Big Beef dose not grow consistent size of tomatoes like most hybrids. It is more like OP. Maybe that is why it has good taste. Right now mine has maybe 10 fruits, all different size, biggest one about 8 oz.
I think they named it "BIG"Beef is to compete with BIG boy.

Mine are producing like Gardeneer just wrote. You know, it does make you wonder why they would call a tomato a beefsteak or Big Beef? I have never heard a tomato mooing.

I have grown big beefs for years now. they are generally 10-16 oz tomatoes. very consistent in size. I usually grow at least a row of 35 big beef plants and I have never found them to be oddball sizes. I usually can get 16 in a peck basket.... that is consistency..
