Default This is what its all about!

Mine is an old Frugal Gourmet branded mandolin that I've had for decades. Still works like it did when it was new, and yes, you can easily loose some flesh using it if, like me, you find it easier to use it without the food holder...

I just bought my daughter-in-law this one for Christmas - http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0000632QE/...kequippilot-20 it was the winner in the America's Test Kitchen equipment review on mandolins.

I recently bought a teeny-tiny garlic mandolin. It does an amazing job slicing garlic cloves nice and thin for dehydrating.

Ricman, everything looks wonderfully delicious! I didn't see if this was asked, but did you grow your own taters? Also, what is your bread recipe? I bake my own as well.

I have the same one somewhere, it comes under different names.
Had it for years too.

Sorry about the late response...I have been out of town for a couple of days.

Lexusnexus- Yes I grew a row of Yukon Gold's this year and here is the bread recipe. You may need to add a little more flour just so the dough is not real sticky.

3/4 cup of milk
1/2 cup of water
1/3 cup of butter or margarine melted
1 egg
1/3 cup white sugar
4 cups flour--AP or Bread flour
1 Tablespoon yeast
