Much loved by the woman at the end of the lane who can't eat "acid tamatuhs".

Light yellow inside and had a slight blush at the blossom end; juicy and mild.

Grew this one in 2010 and tried it again this year because it did so well. Still produced lots of nice fruits but was outpaced by some other hearts whose flavors I also prefer. 6-20 oz. fruits resist splitting.

Tried growing this last year because I loved the name but got a dark yellow fruit.

Tried again and got these 12-21 oz. fruits.

Sadly, it was one of the only plants to be troubled with Septoria this year and it was pulled early.

Maybe the third time will be the charm?

Kath, thanks for posting a photo of the Indian Stripe/possibly Daniels cross-they are the same color as mine. I had four plants and all produced similar
fruits. We enjoyed it very much too! Darlene

One of the very biggest plants out of nearly 200- sprawling over 2 aisles as well as his neighbors 2 cages away. A very unruly fellow but his 'hair' is kind of cute, no? Then imitates a butterfly when cut, what's next? Whoa- too much time in front of the computer on this rainy day.

From Carolyn's 2012 seed offer, KPH isn't early but has a huge amount of fruits set. They are just ripening now and so far have all been between 11 and 14 oz. Low on seeds and hard to bag, this one's been a challenge in the seed-saving department.

Darlene- I guess I'm glad to hear that, but I thought the fruits were supposed to be "very deep pink" and "very large" and on "large indeterminate" plants. Mine are darks, not pinks, less than a pound and on what look like semi-determinate plants. I have 5 plants, I think, and they're all the same height and the fruits are similar but not identical. Almost all the fruits have the same kind of bumpy bottom, so I was hoping this wasn't the norm. I was going to bring all of this up when the feedback thread happens. I'm really curious to hear more about what's coming out of this cross.

You have so many fruits that sound so wonderful it makes it harder for those of us who can only grow a certain number next year! lol....I want them all!

Kath, I considered mine more of a "dark" too; I also was expecting a dark
pink or rose but now feel that what Suze meant by "dark pink" was some
retention of chlorophyll in the skin. I had many perfect tomatoes at first
but later ones tended to be mal-formed, (IS/possibly D cross). I kind of
put that down to some very cool nights when these toms may have been
pollenated as I had many mal-formed fruits on other varieties that normally
have well shaped fruits.

At first, I thought I saw some differences in degree of "darkness" between
plants but then I'd get a lighter or darker from each plant-just enough to
confuse the issue. Also, I wondered if the temperature extremes we had could have accounted for the slight differences in fruit color shade. The color
differences were slight enough it was easy to just think it was my imagination
since they ripened at different times and tomatoes fly out of here!
