Yellow Submarine Source
Do any of you fine, kind and refined tomato folks know of a domestic (USA) source for Yellow Submarine?
My understanding is that it's a Yellow Pear that's not gross, which would be great because my in-laws love Yellow Pear and I can't bring myself to grow it! |

Googling seems to show a couple of UK sources, but I didn't find any U.S. on the first page, anyway.

If several people are interested in ordering Yellow Submarine, I would be willing to put the order in for how many # of packages people want, & then send them out, to save on minimum orders, extra shipping costs etc.

Thanks, Tom! I had found those sites, but I was having difficulty finding a source the USA.
This may be a sensitive question, but is it legal to import seeds from outside of the USA? |

I don't have many seed but will be starting them late tonight.
http://www.selectedplants.com/varieties.htm You may have to refresh the page if you have visited it recently since many browsers store a cache version of page views. It is at the top, last item in the list of cherry tomatoes. I wish I had enough seed to share, but I don't think 15 seed would go very far. Darrel Jones |

I've just sent an e-mail to a UK co., asking what the minimum # of packets you can order, & cost of shipping. They sell 12 seeds for .50 lb/ about $1. Small quantity, but enough to sow & save seed this season. Cheap, too. I'll let you know when I hear back.

Hi, I'd like to join in and purchase too. I was unable to find if they would ship outside of the country.
Thanks for agreeing to order. Nancy |

Just an update - still trying to track down a company that is willing to ship here. I received an e-mail from the 1st company I contacted, who can't export outside UK - but they gave me contact info for their supplier, so I will contact them now & let you know when I get a reply.

Please send me PM's requesting seed. I have enough on the way at this time to supply about 30 people with 5 seed each. I would suggest NOT posting your mailing address in this thread for obvious reasons. No sase needed, and this offer is subject to seed availability. I will post when I am out of seed. Note that I am posting this offer here because this thread is more likely to be read than a post in the "available for trade" area.
If you are in Canada and would like seed, please send a PM to Kimpossible. I have arranged for her to have some seed available. DarJones |
