My Mat-Su exp are some of my best looking plants. The plants from #11 are doing better than the others and had better germination as well just FYI.

I am seeing plant 11 as being the most consistent for setting tomatoes early, lots of blooms too. I found some missing seeds for plant 13, I remember it was really good tasting and very early too. Good luck, I hope they treat you with good tasting tomatoes before winter. LOL

This coming week our daytime highs will be 80-85 with night time lows 61-65. We've had nothing but sunshine so I expect to be picking TONS of Mat-su Express tomatoes.

Anyone having germ issues?
I only have one up out of 12 seeds. All my other varieties in the same tray are up. In fact, all 4 trays I started of over 15 types are all up.
It's plant A 11 stock.

I had 100% germination from Plant Cole-Robbie.

What is the Plant 11 and Plant 13?

Mark, I'll be sowing in a week or so. I only have room for 1 plant, so I won't be of much use to see how many perform, only the one. Based on this I'm thinking I'll sow from the plant 11 packet you sent--although you also sent plant 41. Do you recommend plant 11?

Barb, any seeds saved from the F5's were from a few very early plants, that I labeled to check for early F6 consistency, that's all.

PH, they seem to take awhile to sprout, I may have let them ferment too long, something like that, but they should sprout.

Justine, I would try both batches.

My seeds from Cole Robbie sprouted (on damp paper towel) just fine and I potted them up yesterday

It's still too early here to sow my all my tomato seeds but I usually sow 3 to 4 tomato seeds when I start my petunias for fun.

My plants enjoying some sunshine. I started them on 2/23. The bottom right is Mat-Su Express from Cole_Robbie. Top right is sungold and the other two are purple and sunrise bumblebee.

I probably picked over 25 Matsu-Express tomatoes today; Weather high of 83 degrees and no clouds for days now.

When I think a tomato will be really good, I bring it to my next door neighbor for a taste test. Then we rank them. I had one such Matsu-Express that was larger than the others I've been eating. This was the first I shared which is saying a lot because I give away most of my tomatoes.

It was excellent and very tomato-y.

I had an epiphany today. I didn't think my plants were early but I sowed seeds for Sky Reacher at the exact same time. SkyReacher is very prolific and I also have several SR plants. The thing is I've picked way more Matsu Tomatoes than SR.
