I want to add that when I cook the potatoes it is a slow cook.
I cut them and put them in cold water and put the burner on medium and let the temperature slowly rise.
Just about the time it is ready to boil the potatoes are cooked I them shock them with cold water to stop the cooking process.
This is also the way I cook boiled potatoes of any kind you get an even cook this way.

Those are both really good tomatoes. Which did you enjoy the most?

Well, my 3rd sandwich was a Daniel Burson, so that would be my favorite, cause it was the sweetest and I have a sweet tooth or 2. Thanks to your generous seed offer, I was able to grow it!

Gary O'Sena is no slouch though, as I also liked it. The one slice to cover the bread is convenient.

Not a true blt, but I would rather slice my tomatoes really thick and not put on the lettuce.

The beer: if you like an IPA to taste like grape fruit, this is a good one to try. Might not be the best to go with a bt, but in my opinion, there's rarely any food that doesn't go with a good beer!

Nice photo, look like it can be in a magazine as a Pabst advertisement.

Default Texas Blts etc

Here's a couple with Asiago Cheese bread. The basil one was a bit strong on the basil. Next time I'll chop it up and sprinkle some on. The one with kale was early in the season-kale not so happy now.

Make fresh mayonnaise! You baked your bread, grew your tomatoes, cured your bacon. Store bought mayo???

Old chef

I know, I should be ashamed of myself I do make it every now and then with the mixer.
I think the next time I go to the store I will get some eggs and do it again.
