I have felt your pain I too once lived in MO and at that time you couldn't find hot peppers at all.

Coming from Texas we grew our own I was raised on hot peppers.
Tomato growers supply has a huge selection of peppers, many from your homeland.

One year I grew something like 40 varieties.

By the way welcome to the US and tomatoville make yourself at home.

Thank you Worth!
i've heard even the turkeys love wild habanero there in texas actually i've seen more and more orange habaneros in some grocery store, it's worth the heat but its hard for me appreciating the strange flavor lol....

btw 40 varieties, wow! i envy you!!....i do have some other varieties growing this year such as red carribean, some ornamental peppers (which is actually local variety in my home country)and my bhut jolokia just recently showing its true leaves...a folk backhome smuggled me mega scoville seeds via mail let see i've got babrados haba, infinity, 7 pot jonah, naga morich & yellow petter (sexy pepper! lol) unfortunately it's kinda too late to plant them rite now but ill definitely grow them next year...

here is the ornamental peppers, all still green i have picked all the ripe peppers, they are very productive plants

I'm only growing some half hot hybrid hab's bells chilies and such.

Nothing really fancy.

One of my favorites is the mushroom pepper yellow and red.
It has heat for salsa and doesn't kill the flavor of the tomato.

I haven't started seeds in a year or so.

Your peppers look really nice, and it looks like your growing some
pretty hot ones there. I too love growing peppers. Not only are
they useful, but very pretty to look at. It is so much easier to
grow peppers, especially hot, than tomatoes. Have you been to
The Hot Pepper Forum yet? If not, check it out.

Welcome to Tomatoville from another pepperhead! Some beautiful peppers you've got there. I've pickled Yellow Hungarian before, the taste is good but it's very mild. I'm picking jalapenos, red cherries, baccatums, and Thai dragons right now. My habs, Tabascos and fatalii peppers and others are just starting to set fruit. I can't wait!

oh btw i went to hooters yesterday and tried their 911 hot wings, i had to stop after the 3rd wing not because of the heat (to be honest they are literally not hot at all for me) but i just cant handle the sourness. i guess i like the oriental style better.
