Divorce garden

Hi Friends,
So tough year.
Got word after 27 years together with mrs N that there won't be 28.
Garden will be a bit rough this year, might get something might not.
Transplants are 6'tall have tomatoes and are a mess.
Had to put them out if they die good not then great.
I hear there is life on the other side. Looking forward to that.

So sorry to hear that...I'm sure it all looks pretty bleak right now, but hang in there, it will get better. Back about 13 years ago I had some turmoiI in my life it wasnt as painful as divorce, and actually had nothing to do with my marriage. But I found my bearings and threw myself headfirst into gardening. It has become my cheap form of therapy. So, if you've no garden this year, that's understandable. I wish you peace and healing. If we lived closer, I'd send you veggies at harvest time.

Sorry, Nematode. Been there myself. I remember thinking that divorce represented loss. Now I know that the only things I really lost after my divorce were a bunch of bad, old habits. Hang in there... There is indeed life on the other side!!!

Sending you support. I agree that garden therapy is a really good thing no matter if the garden is productive or not. It looks like you have a nice pup there. Animal love is soothing and unconditional too. I am sorry you are hurting.

Sorry to hear about your tough times. Very unsettling. But you do have a wonderful view, a good-looking dog, and a whatever-happens-it's-already-in-progress tomato situation that might be fruitful. I've had more messed up gardening years than not over the past few years because of varying levels of crises of one kind or another - the garden sometimes just has to wait. But the great thing is that even so, if you've started anything, you usually reap something! Just keep at it as best you can. Good luck all around.

Nematode, things may be bleak right now but it will get better soon. Just don't divorce your garden! It's the one constant in your life and you both need each other.

I can share with you that at my lowest (unable to get out of bed, nothing to hope for kind of low), the only thing that helped me through was hands in soil.

Beautiful scenery; the water is so clear. Lonely will pass. You are privileged to be there.
Container garden asap. If I can do it this year due to unforeseen (hail) circumstances, you surely still have the option in MA. Buy transplants even though we like to watch our own grow. I felt lost and picked all the wrong ones when I had to buy replacement plants @ lowes, but now that they are in I'm okay with continuing on. I have faith in you that you will have a productive garden this summer.
