I brought it in onto the counter tonight. Not huge but plenty big for eating. Does this fruit look about the right ripeness for a good taste test or would you wait a couple of days?

Although narrow in width - the core definitely has a lot of fiber! The core did not go all the way through the body of the fruit. I don't think I had to cut out anymore than normal to remove the core but making sure all of the fiber is removed is important. I certainly wouldn't want to try and chew on the fiber!!

Now for the taste - IMO. This is a very meaty tomato with a mild sweet flavor and slightly acidic. I did not find a tinge of peach taste as many have noted. I thought the taste was excellent for a sweet tomato with solid texture (not mushy). The orange color is brilliant and can't go unnoticed! I can definitely recommend the taste to those that like the taste of a sweet tomato! Once the fibered core is removed - the rest is all positive!
