Carpi-cant be the same variety, since Angelo says his were 5-7 grams.

yes, 250 grams (little over 1/2 pound) can be the typical weight
but on the seed pack that i have is (hand)written 500 gr, and the fruits in the picture were definitely large (see the plate)
probably they selected the best fruits they had for show
anyway, i have about 20 seeds, which is more than i need for next year, so if anybody is interested...
