Default for those on the west coast

When are you starting your seeds? I'm thinking now ... is it too early?

Ive been sowing in waves since the end of January. Mine will be born and hopefully thrive outside.
No lights nor indoor pampering.

I started mine about 4 weeks ago out here in Santa Monica on heat mats and under grow lights. They've been outdoors for at least 2 weeks already for cold-treatment. Will be transplanting to a garden bed in South LA County in a few weeks where it'll be extra warm (Zone 10b).

I started mine on a heat mat Feb 1.

Do you all do a second fall planting? Curious what varieties have worked and when you start these.

No fall planting here. Though it’s possible, with my small garden (makes rotating hard), it makes more sense for me to give the beds a rest instead.
