2012 Winter Greenhouse City Pickers raised bed

I purchased 5 of these-they are a raised bed, like an earthtainer or earthbox. Doing really good. I put in 240 ccs of Espoma Plant Tone, 120 ccs of Espoma Cal/Mag and 1 tablespoon of Azomite. They got one snack of 1 tsp of FloraNova Grow which is 7-4-10 with micronutrients.

The first photo is a city picker with asian greens in it, germinated in the container about 30 days from harvest. The second is spinach, also germinated in the container and also about 30 days away. The third is the first of two garlics that I planted. So I have one more garlic and then one with kale and broccoli raab.

Two weeks later. I am very impressed with these. Like a raised bed swc. Real easy to maintain.

That's a lot of growth in two weeks, you'll have some good eating there in not too long. Interesting trays, where did you find them?

Dee- got them at home depot. I am very impressed with them. Easy to use and maintain.

A lot of growth in a short time alright,will you just keep replanting new trays as the greens get used up Michael

Med-sure will, pull the plant, pat the soil down, add any needed mix in the hole and replant. I am going to do it for the first time in a few days, so we will see if it works.

I pulled the plants in one that were finished. They pulled out easily. I am just going to top it off and then replant. Minimal work to get it replanted.

Richard-if you mean did the growing mix sink down much, the answer is not much at all. It wont take much mix to top it off.
