Default Remote gardening

I travel a good deal during the seedling and potting up phases, so I have to organize my gardening to continue regardless.

I time my trips so that I am at home for crucial periods - the second week and third week after sowing, which is when I am potting up. I put a highly diluted fish concentrate in the first water after potting up.

After that, I put an internet camera on the potted up plants (about 600 of them), and watch them daily remotely. I take a snapshot every 12 hours, and by clicking through the snapshots like time action photography, I can see the changes.

When the growing slows over two 12 hour periods, they need water. I call my man who cares for the house to water the seedlings (about half a cup of water per seedling).

That way, I can closely manage the care of the seedlings when I am, say, Armenia.

Great idea to solve your watering issues while away, Scott. Thanks for the idea.
