Nice looking interior, and 7/10 is not bad at all - maybe the flavor will even improve as the season proceeds.
And it is red as expected, which is also definitive proof that the cross took.

Is it the one from your fathers garden, or is it the first one from yours?
Either way - make sure to save plenty of seeds

Maybe i should hold judgment till ive tried a few more.

The photo doesnt show it as much but there's just a hint of orange colour in the skin as well

It depends on how many requests you get, if you get a lot of requests, it might be easier to send a bunch of seeds to someone in the US, who could then make a SASE offer in the "Available For Trade" forum.

I have sent F1 seeds to you, Raybo and Ami. I don't remember if Ami was interested in F2's too

A have 3 seedlings now started and if they develop, I will bag blossoms and with Soren's permission, send out seeds in the Fall to those located in the U.S. and Canada who want the F2 in that timeframe.

Why not just keep some of the F2 seeds from the plants you are growing now? Or I can send you F3 seeds in August/September,
from the F2 plants I will be growing from your seeds

Nice looking plants. It looks like you have a few PL to go along with the RL. I will be following this thread to see how they taste.

Soren,

Here is an April 28 photo of 2 of the Marianna's Peace x NAR F1 seeds you sent me:

Both are RL. I am in Upstate New York at the moment, returning to California on Thursday, so I will update the photos then.

Just returned from my 2 week trip and snapped this photo today:

The Marianna's Peace x NAR have grown a full 12 inches in the past 14 days.

In the adjacent 'Tainer to the left are a pair of Brandywine x NAR so this will be an interesting comparison between the two varieties:

So far, in early May things are progressing very well:

Soren, how about calling your new variety "MarNar". This name would be a lot shorter and easier to remember.

Nice pics Ray!
Yes, let's call it MarNar for now, we will probably give the future selections other names anyway,
and I am getting tired of typing Marianna's Peace x Neves Azorean Red too

A taste comparison between MarNar and NARX would not be entirely fair, as NARX have been selected for taste
and production for several years now and MarNar is still in the F1 stage.
